A Shopify maintenance service typically includes content updates, replacement of provided images, correction of links or small display defects, slight technical adjustments, and request tracking. However, its scope depends on the package: number of requests, monthly time available, first response time and exclusions must be clearly written.
Maintenance does not mean that all changes are unlimited. Above all, it avoids accumulating the small corrections necessary for the proper daily functioning of the store.
Are you unsure about the volume of maintenance required?
Present the changes usually made over a month to receive a suitable recommendation.

What can Shopify maintenance include?
Content updates
Modification of texts already provided, correction of information, replacement of a transmitted visual or adjustment of a link. Maintenance does not automatically include complete writing or media creation.
Minor fixes
Repair of a broken link, display detail or simple anomaly not requiring specific development. The problem must be able to be isolated and treated within the package limit.
Small mobile adjustments
Spacing, aligning, button size, or lightly adapting an existing section. A complete recovery of the mobile experience is more of an optimization or redesign.
Improved existing sections
Depending on the formula, a section already present can be adjusted without recreating the model. The content, feasibility and time required must be checked before the intervention.
Support and centralization
Requests are grouped with a contact who knows the store. This continuity avoids re-explaining the context for each small correction.
Tracking the volume used
Each action is counted against the number of requests and monthly time. The customer thus knows what remains available and what must wait or be the subject of a quote.
What's a simple request?
At SiteQuiVend, a simple request corresponds to an isolated action of approximately 20 minutes. It must be clearly described, achievable with available access and not require specific development.
Three small requests therefore do not mean three hours of work. Conversely, the time available does not allow the expected number of requests to be exceeded. The two ceilings apply together.
SiteQuiVend maintenance packages
| Formula | Monthly volume | First answer | Recommended use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential - €59/month | 3 requests · 1 hour maximum | 48 to 72 working hours | Some corrections grouped together each month |
| Comfort - €99/month | 8 requests · 3 hours maximum | 24 to 48 working hours | Shop that evolves several times a month |
| Priority - €199/month | 15 requests · 6 hours maximum | Within 24 working hours | Regular delegation and priority processing |
| Custom-made - from €299/month | Defined in the contract | Defined in the contract | Frequent need exceeding standard packages |
Attention: the time frame indicated is for the first response during business days, not necessarily for resolution. The duration depends on complexity, access, content and third-party services.
What is not included in standard maintenance
A monthly plan does not replace a creation or redesign quote. SiteQuiVend classifies interventions that exceed a simple action or the time available separately.
New page or complete redesign
Creating a page, rethinking its structure, producing its design and integrating several blocks represents a distinct project with its own price and deadline.
Specific development
Custom function, complex Liquid logic, external integration or significant modification of the theme require prior study.
Long intervention
An action that exceeds approximately 20 minutes can be grouped, scheduled or encrypted separately before it starts.
External costs
Shopify subscription, premium theme, paid app, license or third-party service are not automatically included in maintenance.
This separation protects both parties: no intervention outside the package must be launched without agreement on the scope and price.
How does tracking work each month?
- You send a clear request. Indicate the page, item, content provided and expected result.
- The request is qualified. It is included in the package if it is simple; otherwise, planning or a quote is offered.
- A first answer is provided. Its deadline depends on the formula and is in working days.
- The intervention is carried out. Access, validations and possible third-party services may influence the schedule.
- The volume is counted. Demand and time used reduce the two monthly limits.
Unused requests are not carried over to the next month. Additional requests can wait until the following month or be encrypted separately. To better anticipate anomalies, also consult the explaining guide why a Shopify store is getting slow.
Concrete examples: package or separate quote?
| Request | Probable classification | Why? |
|---|---|---|
| Replace a banner provided | Simple request | Isolated action on an existing section |
| Correct a link to a collection | Simple request | Localized correction without development |
| Adjust moving button spacing | Simple request so light | Small adjustment of an existing section |
| Create a new sales page | Separate quote | Structure, design, integration and complete controls |
| Develop a product configurator | Specific quote | Function and tests beyond routine maintenance |
The final ranking always depends on the state of the theme, access and the time actually required. An example does not constitute automatic engagement.
Which formula should you choose according to your needs?
Choose Essential
If you combine up to three small monthly corrections and the first response time of 48 to 72 working hours is suitable.
Choose Comfort
If texts, images, links and small adjustments change several times a month. This is the intermediate formula with 8 requests and 3 hours maximum.
Choose Priority
If the store is active, regular requests and the first response within 24 business hours are important to your organization.
Ask for tailor-made
If the volume exceeds standard ceilings, if interventions must be planned or if specific monthly monitoring is necessary.
If multiple pages, templates, navigation and mobile need to be redesigned together, compare it instead shopify redesign. Maintenance should not be used to spread out a structural project indefinitely.

Frequently asked questions
Is Shopify maintenance required?
No, but it can prevent the accumulation of obsolete content, broken links and small anomalies. Its interest depends on the frequency of changes and your ability to manage them internally.
What is a simple request at SiteQuiVend?
This is an isolated action of approximately 20 minutes, clearly described and not requiring specific development. It must also respect the monthly time still available.
Are unused hours postponed?
No. The number of requests and the time available are valid for the month concerned and are not cumulative with the following month.
Does the announced deadline guarantee resolution?
No. It corresponds to the first response during working days. Resolution depends on complexity, access, content transmitted and possible third-party services.
What happens if a request is too long?
It can be grouped together, planned or offered on estimate before its start. No intervention outside the package must be launched without your agreement.
New page creation included?
No in a simple request. A new page or the complete redesign of a page is subject to a separate price and deadline.
Are paid apps included?
No. Shopify subscriptions, themes, apps, licenses, and third-party services remain separate unless explicitly stated otherwise in a proposal.
How to choose between maintenance and redesign?
Choose maintenance for simple, recurring fixes. A redesign becomes more suitable when multiple pages, templates, navigation, design and mobile need to evolve together.
Useful maintenance is based on a clear scope
A good Shopify maintenance service doesn't promise unlimited changes. It defines what can be processed, the monthly volume, the first response time and the procedure in case of overruns. By choosing a formula consistent with your actual pace, you keep a store up to date without transforming each small correction into a new project.
